Export and streaming of skeleton data
You can export skeleton data for further processing in third-party software, such as MotionBuilder and Maya. The export formats are:
-
FBX: a widely used format for exchange of 3D data for animation software, see chapter Export to FBX file
-
TSV: a tab-separated text format, see chapter Export to TSV format
-
MAT: Matlab data file, see chapter Export to MAT format
-
JSON: a structured text format, see chapter Export to JSON file.
Real time streaming of skeleton data is supported by the QTM RT protocol. QTM connect applications are available on GitHub for MotionBuilder, Maya, Unity and Unreal. The streamed skeleton data can be scaled by using a scale factor, see chapter Scale factor. For more information on how to stream skeleton data, see the documentation included in the respective QTM connect applications or the documentation on the RT Protocol included in the QTM installation.
