Partial skeleton calibration

It is possible to define and solve only a part of the skeleton.

  • For the Animation Marker Set the upper body can be solved. For detailed information about the required markers, see the Animation Marker Set guide.

  • For the Sports Marker Set the lower and upper body can be solved. For detailed information about the required markers, see the Sports Marker Set guide.

Once the required markers are labeled, calibrating and solving the skeleton works similar as calibrating and tracking the complete skeleton:

  1. You can create an AIM model including the markers of the partial skeleton to facilitate tracking, see chapter Automatic labeling of markers or Traqr configuration for skeleton tracking.

  2. When solving the skeleton only the segments included in the skeleton definition will be tracked.

  3. You can modify the scale factor or marker weights, see chapter How to modify the skeleton definition.

  4. You can export and stream partial skeleton data, see chapter Export and streaming of skeleton data.

An alternative way to apply partial skeleton solving is by removing segments from a complete skeleton definition. For more information, see chapter How to modify the skeleton definition.
