Manual editing of the skeleton definition

Once a skeleton is defined it is possible to influence the tracking by modifying the skeleton definition. The skeleton definition can be modified in two ways:

  1. By importing a modified skeleton XML file.

    1. Use the Save button in the Skeleton Solver page to export the skeleton definition XML file .

    2. Edit the XML file in a text editor, for example Notepad. For more information about editing the skeleton definition, see chapter Skeleton XML editing.

    3. Use the Load button in the Skeleton Solver page to import the modified skeleton definition XML file .

  2. By sending an XML packet via the real time protocol, see the QTM RT Protocol documentation included in the QTM installation for more information.

To apply a modified skeleton definition to existing captures they need to be reprocessed with the modified skeleton definition.

All manual modifications will be undone when recalibrating a skeleton in QTM. If you want to apply the same modification to subsequent calibrations, consider using a skeleton template instead.
