System requirements
The following components are used in a markerless motion capture system.
-
Miqus video cameras, Miqus hybrid cameras, or a combination of the two can be used for markerless capture. Note that the Miqus hybrid camera is recommended for indoor use only, as it can be affected by sunlight.
-
A camera sync unit can be used for synchronizing with external equipment or using a trigger button.
-
There is a maximum of three video cameras per daisy chain, so your cameras will need to be set up in separate chains. The daisy chains will then connect to each other using a 10 Gbit Ethernet switch.
-
A specially configured computer with a 10 Gbit network adapter is needed to handle the large volume of video data. A computer with an 11th generation Intel i9 processor can capture markerless data from up to 24 video cameras at once, while a computer with a 10th generation processor can handle 16 cameras. To use larger numbers of cameras than your computer model supports, you will need to set them up in separate systems. Instructions on a multiple system setup can be found in the QTM user manual.
