Use generic AIM model to create unique models

If you are measuring multiple subjects with the same marker configuration you can create specific AIM models for each subject based on a generic AIM model. The advantage is that this allows for identification of individual subjects.

  1. First, follow the steps in Similar subjects

    1. Add the AIM model to the Applied models list on the AIM page in the Project options dialog.

    2. Set Nr To Apply to the number of subjects to be tracked simultaneously.

    3. Optionally, enable Use random trajectory color for each AIM file. This will help to distinguish the subjects from one another.

    4. Make a measurement with multiple subjects.

  2. Select the trajectories of one subject in the 3D view or the trajectory list.

  3. Optionally, a prefix can be added to the selected labels by right-clicking on the selection and clicking Add prefix to selection.... This can be helpful to distinguish subjects from each other, especially when using the same colors scheme.

  4. Right-click on the selection and click Generate AIM model from selected trajectories....

  5. Generate the AIM model as described in chapter Generating an AIM model.

  6. Repeat steps 2. to 4. for each subject.

  7. Start tracking.
