Digital IO
The control port of the Oqus camera provides an interface for digital I/O. For the available control connections, see below.
The following digital I/O signals are available on the Oqus control port:
-
Trigger input: The Trigger port on the Oqus camera is mainly similar to the TRIG NO input on the Camera Sync Unit, see chapter Trigger inputs.
-
Synchronization input: The Synchronization input on the Oqus camera is mainly similar to the SYNC input on the Camera Sync Unit, see chapter Synchronization input.
-
Synchronization output: The Synchronization output on the Oqus camera is mainly similar to the Synchronization output ports on the Camera Sync Unit, see chapter Synchronization outputs.
Control connections
The following splitter cables can be used for connecting to the control port. They all have BNC connectors where BNC cables can be connected to extend the length.
-
Sync out/Sync in/Trig splitter
This splitter has three connectors. One BNC female for Sync out, one BNC female for Sync in and one BNC male for Trigger in. -
Sync out/Trig splitter
This splitter has two connectors. One BNC female for Sync out and one BNC male for Trigger in. -
Sync in splitter
This splitter has one connector, a BNC female for Sync in.
Alternatively, an Oqus Sync Unit can be used as a connector to the control port, featuring opto-isolated signal connectors and support for SMPTE time code. For more information, see chapter Oqus Sync Unit.
