EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
In the European Union (EU), waste from electrical and
electronic equipment (WEEE) is subject to regulation designed to prevent
the disposal of such waste and to encourage prior treatment measures to
minimize the amount of waste ultimately disposed.
In particular, the EU WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC requires that producers of electronic equipment be responsible for the collection, reuse, recycling, and treatment of WEEE that the producer places on the EU market after August 13, 2005. Qualisys is providing the following collection process to comply with the WEEE Directive.
If you purchased Qualisys products in the EU on and after August 13, 2005 and are intending to discard these products at the end of their useful life, please do not dispose of them in a landfill or with household or municipal waste. Qualisys has labeled its electronic products with the WEEE label to alert our customers that products bearing this label should not be disposed of with waste in the EU. Instead, Qualisys requests you to return those products so that they can be dismantled for reuse, recycled, or properly disposed.
Qualisys will take back all Qualisys-brand electrical equipment from its customers within the EU. Please contact us at weee@qualisys.com for information on how to return your electronic waste.
