Infrared radiation notice

Qualisys cameras use short, strong infrared flashes to illuminate the markers. The flashes are generated by LED lights on the fronts of the cameras.

The Qualisys cameras belong to the exempt group according to IEC / SS-EN 62471 and are within the limits of the FDA CFR 1040.10 Class I classification, which means that the LED radiation is not considered hazardous.

However, any high-intensity light could be harmful to your eyes. Because infrared light is invisible to the human eye, you can be exposed to IR light without noticing. Therefore we recommend that you do not stare directly at the LEDs from a close distance for a prolonged time while the camera is running.
