Connecting the cameras

In a typical markerless system, cameras are connected to each other in chains of three and then linked through the Ethernet switch.

  1. Use camera cables to set up each daisy chain, linking up to three cameras as well as the camera sync unit if you are using one.

  2. A camera cable then connects each daisy chain to a power injector.

  3. Use host cables to connect the power injectors to the 1 Gbit ports on the Ethernet switch.

  4. Once all of the daisy chains are powered and connected to the switch, use an additional Ethernet cable to connect a 10 Gbit port on the switch to the computer running QTM.
