Input ports

The sync unit comes with six input ports.

TRIG NO and TRIG NC are both trigger inputs, through which external triggers can start and stop capture and add events during a recording. The normally open (NO) input can be used with the Qualisys trigger button, while the normally closed (NC) input requires an active trigger device. The two trigger ports can be used simultaneously.

The EVENT input is an additional port for creating events in QTM—for example, through the Qualisys trigger button. It can also be used as an input for IRIG time code signals.

The SMPTE port allows you to synchronize with audio or video through devices that generate SMPTE timecode signals.

The GENLOCK input is used to synchronize with video signals, such as black burst or tri-level.

Finally, the SYNC port allows you to synchronize with any other device outputting a periodic TTL signal.
