Import video link

The import video link feature can be used when a video files have been captured externally from QTM. However the start of the video capture must be triggered in some way to ensure the synchronization with the marker capture. How to trigger the video device can be found in the video manuals, but not all video devices can be triggered externally.

To import the video file click Import/Add link to video file on the File menu. Browse to the video file which must be an AVI-file. The video file do not need to be the same length as the marker capture, since the video length is encoded in the file so that the video frames will be placed at the correct place. If the video has not started in synchronization with the marker capture, an offset can be applied to the video see chapter Video offset.
