Camera blocklist

The camera blocklist is used for blocking QDS from distributing IP addresses to specific cameras. Follow these steps to enable the blocklist.

  1. Find the MAC addresses of the cameras that you want to block. For example locate the system in QTM and use the System info option to get information about all the cameras in the system. The MAC address is also written on the label of all Qualisys cameras.

  2. Open the mac_block.txt file with Camera utilities -> Camera Blocklist - > Edit on the QDS menu.

  3. Add the MAC addresses that you want to block in the list. '#' can be used to comment a line in the file so that it is not used by the blocklist. There can also be text after the MAC address to describe which camera it is. For example:

  4. Enable the blocklist with Camera utilities -> Camera Blocklist - > Enabled on the QDS menu.

  5. Reboot the cameras. The cameras in the blocklist will not receive any IP address.

    If you disable the blocklist or comment lines with a MAC address then the blocked cameras will receive an IP address without rebooting.
