Qualisys video files

The video captures from each camera will be stored in separate AVI files at the same location as the QTM file. The name of the AVI file(s) is the same as the QTM file with the camera type, camera number and camera serial number appended. Video files are linked to in the QTM file using a relative path, so that the link is still valid when moving or copying all the files to a different location.

The video data can be compressed with a codec in QTM. You can select any codec that is installed on the computer to compress the data. For information about video codecs, see chapter Codecs for Oqus high-speed video files. For the In-camera MJPEG mode the codec is always MJPEG.

The video file is displayed in the 2D view window in QTM, but it can also be opened in a media player.

If you have compressed the video file with a codec the computer where you play the file must have that codec installed.

The AVI files from Qualisys cameras contain meta information about the QTM version, the capture time and the SMPTE time code, if used, according to the AVI standard (isft, idit and ismp)

The meta information is deleted if the QTM file is trimmed.
