Export to STO file

Click Export on the File menu and then To STO... to export to the STO format. In the STO settings dialog, choose the mapping of the axes. The type of exported data is the ground reaction force (GRF) data from included force plates. Most commonly, the Y-axis is defined as the upward pointing axis in the STO format.

A STO file (.sto) is a text-based file format for ground reaction force data, including meta data about the capture, such as the sample rate. The STO format is used by OpenSim, most commonly in combination with a TRC file containing 3D trajectory data, see chapter Export to TRC file.
