Trigno computer installation

Before you connect the Trigno system to the computer you need to install the Delsys Trigno Control Utility program. This is included in the Trigno SDK. It is highly recommend to download the SDK via QTM via Project Options>Input Devices>Download device drivers to make sure that you use a compatible version.

The SDK integration requires that the 32-bit version of the Delsys USB drivers is installed. The easiest way to install the correct drivers is by installing the Delsys EMGWorks software. For more information, refer to Delsys documentation or support.

Make sure that your Trigno base station and sensors have the firmware installed that is compatible with the Delsys SDK version used for QTM. For upgrading or downgrading firmware, please refer to Delsys documentation or support.

Follow these instructions to start the Delsys Trigno EMG.

  1. Connect the power and USB connector of the Trigno Module.

  2. Start the Trigno Control Utility program.

We recommend to use the Trigno Control Utility that comes with the Trigno SDK, even if you have Delsys EMGworks software installed. Make sure that you run SensorBaseControl.exe, which is located under C:\Program Files (x86)\Delsys, Inc\Trigno SDK.

    1. The first time you use the Trigno system on a computer you need to pair the sensors. Click Pair on the sensor images in the program and then hold down the button on sensor for about 3 seconds until it is detected. For Trigno Avanti sensors, the sensor is paired by tapping it over the built-in magnet of the base station, indicated by the lock decal.

    2. Press the Configure button and make sure that the following settings are correct:

      • On the tab Digital Output, make sure that the option Backwards Compatibility is checked.

Unchecking the Backwards Compatibility option will lead to unsynchronized EMG data.

      • On the tab Orientation Filter, make sure that the option Turn on Orientation Filter for all sensors is unchecked.

    3. You can configure the sensors (e.g., the gain of the accelerometers) by pressing the configure button of the sensors. For Avanti IMU sensors, make sure to use the EMG+IMU mode.

QTM automatically sets the Avanti sensor mode to EMG+IMU if the chosen mode is not supported.

    4. For more information on how to set up the Trigno system, please refer to the Delsys documentation.
