Output ports

The sync unit also comes with three output ports.

MEASUREMENT TIME outputs a pulse that lasts for the duration of the recording. This can be useful for synchronized starting and stopping of external devices.

The OUT 1 and OUT 2 ports can be configured through QTM for different sync modes. They output a continuous synchronization signal so that the camera system and external equipment do not drift apart over time.

This is the recommended way to synchronize analog boards and force plates.

The indicator light on the sync unit flashes green while the device is synchronizing, shines steadily green once it is connected, and glows amber while the system is active.
